Heavy media separators operate following gravity concentration, namely density driven separation. Such equipment is used for beneficiation of coarse materials from 6mm to 300mm grade in heavy media.

The driving motor has a huge safety margin (a back up can be installed for extra safety). Separator's bottom liner made of patented EWP material is designed for a minimum of 5 years of operation and the guides have a replaceable component which can be swapped easily and safely by 1 person. The scrapers have additional reinforcement and are made of high-strength steel. The separator also features a centralized single point lubrication system. The discharge chute is made wider to avoid bending of the scrapers by oversized pieces of material. Its footprint is much smaller than other kinds of separators, but the output is higher. Scrapers and chain need to be changed once every 6 months which will take only 4 hours. Design features ensure easy maintenance and long service life.

Engine: SIEMENS. Gearbox: SIEMENS FLENDER with spur shaft (not hollow shaft). Gear coupling and bearings by NSK (Japan).
A backup motor can be provided.

Our premium class chain lasts up to 14 months without replacement or reversals.

Lubrication system
Centralized lubrication system is designed with maintenance personnel in mind, lubrication is provided from a single point.
Service opening
There is a service opening above the intermediate shaft, through which the entire prop shaft can be removed for service and repair.
Discharge chute
The discharge chute is made wider to avoid bending of the scrapers by oversized pieces of material.
Tension shaft
The tension shaft is tensioned by hydraulic cylinders, reducing maintenance time for chain replacement and adjustment.
