Mill liners

Lining for pipelines

What is a liner
Lining is a protective layer applied to the surface of working elements of equipment and transportation units to increase service life and protect against mechanical damage. Liners can significantly increase equipment value.

The linings are available in polyethylene, polyurethane, EWP (bimetallic lining), ceramic, rubber, rubber-ceramic and wear-resistant rubber.

We can help with lining of pipelines, mechanical elements, as well as manufacturing of lining for non-standard products according to customer's drawings. If there are no drawings available and it is impossible to produce them, we offer a visit to your premises by an engineer from TAPP Group to take measurements.

Lining for pipelines

Wear-resistant PTS pipe
TAPP Group manufactures and supplies a wide range of pipes lined with wear-resistant UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene).

Our line up of piping options offers an extensive range of features including corrosion, wear, impact, high pressure resistance, self-lubrication, low temperature resistance

You can count on a perfect match between high pressure resistance of a steel pipe and all the features of UHMWPE. High strength, wear and corrosion resistance.

The weight of the finished product is typically 1/6 the weight of carbon or stainless steel, making it a reliable and convenient option.
Wear resistance is typically 4 to 6 times that of steel pipe. Better flow capacity by 20% than steel pipe. Due to reduced friction.
High impact strength allows to push materials up to 1000 mm.
Environmentally friendly products.

Steel-polyurethane composite pipes
TAPP Group composite pipes are manufactured using seamless steel pipe and an 8mm-16mm thick polyurethane liner inlay.
Polyurethane is a highly polymeric material that elastically fits rubber and plastic. This material has high strength and excellent wear resistance. Provides protection against to hydrolysis, acid-alkaline environments and salt deposition. High strength, wear and corrosion resistance.

Basic application:

- Coal preparation and processing, dense media separation and coal preparation system on the stripping machine, pumping of dense media, mixed material and slurry.

- Slag and dust removal main at power plants in ash removal section.

- Tailings transportation line.
High wear and corrosion resistance and cost effectiveness. Its service life is 3-5 times longer than rubber and 6-7 times longer than steel.
It creates a smooth lining with low friction, that induces good resistance to hydrolysis, makes your systems more reliable and stronger, ensures strong adhesion to steel pipes.
High impact strength and friction resistance.
Effective for material coarseness 0-2 mm.
Environmentally friendly products.

Lining for pipelines

Wear-resistant ceramic chip pipe
This wear liner is a composite arrangement of spherical oxide-aluminum spheres mixed with epoxy resin and applied to the inner walls of the steel pipe. The thickness of the wear liner can be varied according to the operating conditions of each application. Liner sections can be produced in high wear areas - pipe bends, elbows and T-profiles - where the swirling flow creates severe, abrasive wear.

Basic application:

- Bends, T-sections where there is usually a high degree of wear and tear. Material coarseness for Basic applications: 0-10 mm.

- Chute.

- Cyclone.

- Dewatering centrifuges housings, scrapers, etc.

Lining for pipelines

Wear-resistant pipe lined with alumina ceramics
TAPP Group 's wear resistant steel tubes lined with alumina ceramic are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit any material. Alumina ceramics can be mounted on the inner walls of the steel pipe by the following ways: welding, glue, vault mounting or by custom-made methods. High strength, wear and corrosion resistance.

Basic application:

- Coal beneficiation and preparation, dense media separation and coal beneficiation system on the stripping machine, mixed material transfer. Special application: optimal for serious wear points in elbows and T-profiles.

- Material class from 0-25 mm
It has high wear resistance and cost effectiveness. Rockwell hardness HRA80-90, friction resistance ten times higher than steel pipe.
Special application solutions are available for designing wear-prone steel pipes or pipes with convoluted design.
Strong reliable grip and good heat resistance.

Lining for pipelines

Wear resistant EWP lined pipe
Wear-resistant steel pipes lined with EWP.
On abrasion, EWP lasts 5 times longer than popular steels. Last to 16 times longer at the point of impact thanks to a patented clad protective layer.
Special cladding materials are used to form the second layer. The cladding material is austenitic-chromium-carbide euthetics and trigonal chromium carbides, with boron and niobium particles. Clad layer can reach 60-65 HRC in hardness.
