Сentrifuges with screw discharge - is an equipment used to separate liquids and solids by centrifugal force. This type of equipment uses a rotating rotor with a screw transporter to create centrifugal force to separate liquid from solids. The screw transporter takes the solids and moves them to the center of the chamber where they are separated from the liquid. The liquid is then discharged from the chamber and the solids are sent for further processing.

Horizontal screw centrifuges are reliable and easy-to-operate equipment for dewatering of beneficiation products from 0.15 mm to 3 mm in size. Centrifuges show the torque on the motor shaft in real time.

Centrifuge housing
Prior to blasting and painting, all welds are non-destructively inspected for compliance with Australian AS/NZS 1554.1:2011 and American Welding Society AWS D1.1 / D1.1 M weld quality standards. The centrate discharge is located at the bottom of the centrifuge and guarantees 100% tightness of the centrate connection to the centrate well.
In-feed chute
The in-feed chute design directs the feed towards the front part of the basket, reducing impact and ensuring even distribution of feed throughout the basket, which extends its life and improves moisture separation efficiency.
Horizontal centrifuge gearbox bearing unit
The gearbox bearing unit is mounted in the centrifuge housing via a protective sleeve, which protects the seating area in the housing against jamming.

The bushing is easy to change/repair and does not require special attendance.
Protecting the centrifuge housing
CUMI wear-resistant ceramic tiles are used to finish the entire inner surface of the centrifuge housing, including the centrifuge feeder and feed chute, providing complete protection against hydro-abrasion.

Motor system
Tapp Group centrifuges use high-torque motors from TECO-Westinghouse. The torque is transmitted to the main shaft of the centrifuge by means of a V-belt transmission with OPTIBELT drive belts. Since the motor is mounted on rails, belt tensioning is simple and safe. The drive system uses SKF bearings.
Vibration isolation
Four pairs of polyurethane shock absorbers positioned between the centrifuge housing and the centrifuge base eliminate vibration and dynamic loading.
Lubrication system
Simple and reliable design, that purifies oil and removes of magnetic inclusions in the following components: an oil pump motor, an oil pump, a strainer; a magnetic filter; a fine filter; high-pressure hoses; a distributor with pressure gauge; an oil tank.

There is engine protection against solid particles entering the engine cooling impeller. The system is equipped with oil pressure and oil flow sensors to protect all rotating parts of the centrifuge against oil starvation.
An on-line torque sensor
You can see the torque on the centrifuge in real time.
R+W Coupling Technology's failsafe mechanical torque sensor indicates the torque on the centrifuge in real time and, when the load increases, disengages the torque transmission from the pulley to the shaft. The torque sensor is actuated by spring cocking in one movement. The non-contact speed sensor is guaranteed to signal the main shaft motor to shut down and is adjustable in the speed range from 0 to 100%.
Screw transporter
The screw transporter is made of high-strength steel and protected against wear by CUMI ceramic tiles. Twelve-way screw design ensures even distribution of material throughout the basket.
The screw can run 6000 hours and more.
Basket
The patented basket design provides high dewatering efficiency, resistance to deformation, and ease of assembly and disassembly.

The use of 10 HF series baskets on screw centrifuges makes it possible to replace the basket 5-7 times less frequently.
